Louise (Grenier) Huppe, 87, of Manchester, died on June 17, 2025 while fulfilling the last item on her bucket list of traveling via train throughout the west and the Colorado Rockies, with her daughter, Amy, by her side.

Born on January 30, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edme and Aldea (Bergevin) Grenier. She was educated at the Villa Augustina in Goffstown, NH and graduated in 1956. She earned her Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College in 1982. She started Aunt Louise’s Play School in 1971, and founded Wee Play School in 1982 until briefly retiring in 2003, before permanently retiring in 2005.

Louise had a deep love for all children and was an advocate for children with disabilities. She was once President of ACLD (Association of Children with Learning Disabilities) of NH. She especially loved infants and toddlers and was known to help many young mothers in need.

Louise enjoyed family gatherings, taking road trips to anywhere in New Hampshire, traveling, antiquing, yard sales, playing games on her phone and tablet, and playing cribbage with her friends at St. Teresa’s Nursing Home, where she resided since 2023.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Andrew Huppe, her parents, and her brother, Andre (Paul) Grenier.

She is survived by her sons, David and Gail Huppe, Daniel and Marie Huppe, her daughter Amy and Dennis Barron, five grandchildren; Dexter Huppe, Jamie Morris, Kevin Huppe, Tyler Barron and Dayna Barron, 3 great-grandchildren, her sister, Rita Gagne, brother Marc Gagne, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, will be Monday, June 30th, from 5 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 1st, at 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Encryptment will follow in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
