LTC Eugene A.J. Lamoureux, 63, of Goffstown, died July 14, 2016 after a sudden illness while on business in Presque Isle, ME.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI on November 29, 1952 to Albert and Beatrice (Larochelle) Lamoureux. He grew up in Woonsocket and attended Xaverian Missionary Fathers Seminary in Holliston, MA during high school. His military career then brought him to Kentucky, Alaska, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Maine and Germany.
Eugene earned two master's degrees, one in social work and another in education.
His service in the U.S. Army as a medic included a tour of duty in Iraq and culminated as an ARM Associate Regional Manager/Counseling and consultant at veterans centers.
He was an avid reader who enjoyed time spent with his loving family. He was a devoted husband, loving father and friend and will be remembered for his unending generosity to those in need.
The family includes his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth A. Lamoureux of Goffstown; three children, Joseph Albert Normand Lamoureux of Goffstown, Jacob Eugene Lamoureux of Nashville, TN and Aimee Marie Lamoureux of Brooklyn, NY; six siblings, Albert Lamoureux and Denise McKee both of Cumberland, RI, Louise Nadeau of North Kingston, RI, Lucille Caron of Cumberland, RI and Jacqueline Lawrence and Pierre Lamoureux both of Woonsocket, RI; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester, NH.
