Lucienne C. Jobin

Lucienne C. "Lou" Jobin, 87, of Manchester, died December 17, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, October 28, 1916, she was the daughter of Euchariste and Alphonsine (Houle) Bourassa. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Jobin worked several years as manager of Forget Me Not Cards & Gifts.

She was a lifelong member of St. Therese Church where she had been active in various activities including the bereavement committee. She was also a member and secretary of Les Coeurs Joyeaux, and had served as secretary and treasurer of L'Union St. Jean Baptiste, Council 91.

She was currently a selectman for Ward 9.

Family members include her husband of 66 years, Robert J. "Bob" Jobin of Manchester; two sons, Donald Jobin of Manchester, and Richard Jobin of Uxbridge, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Gloria) Pilotte, of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Bourassa of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Jobin.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday December 20, 2003 in St. Therese Church, corner of Calef Rd. and Mitchell St. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery.
