Lucille (Vaillancourt) Desrochers, 87, of Manchester died October 22, 2024 after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on July 20, 1937, she was the daughter of Leo and Violette (Allard) Vaillancourt. She was born & raised in Pinardville.

Lucille loved music. As a girl, she loved to harmonize with her sister, Jeannette. As an adult, she loved campfire sing-alongs, and would sometimes be asked to perform in front of a group. She sang for years in church choirs, first at St George, then later at St Joseph’s Cathedral. Her voice and her laugh could be heard ringing out wherever she was.

Lucille loved animals, children, crossword puzzles, and country music. She was a devout Catholic.

Lucille’s family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the entire staff at Villa Crest. Lucille made many friends while she was there, bringing a resurgence of joy to her final months. She also discovered a passion for bingo, and had the time of her life when entertainers came to perform.
