Lucille M. (Lescatre) Gagnon, 85, of Manchester, died November 16, 2017 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on December 10, 1931 to Arthur and Anna (Langlois) Lescatre. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
After raising her family, Lucille worked in the cafeteria at St. Anselm College for 20 years.
She was a former member of the Sodality of St. Anne at Sacred Heart Parish and the Prayer Shawl Ministry and Woman's Group at the Parish of the Transfiguration. She enjoyed knitting, making fudge, baking pork pies and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Real J. Gagnon in 1983 and a brother, Maurice Lescatre in 2001.
The family includes four children, Donald R. Gagnon and his wife, Marie, of Wilmington, DE, Diane L. Wright of Tucson, AZ, Claire D. Laurendeau and her husband, Denis, of Manchester and Annette R. Kendrigan and her husband, Brian, of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Scott A. Gagnon and his wife, Shannon, Melissa A. Gagnon, Nicole Thibault and her husband, Ben, Eric Laurendeau and his wife, Carrie, Jeffrey Laurendeau and his wife, Katie, Amy Basbas and her husband, Alex and Ashley E. Kendrigan; eleven great grandchildren, Chloe, Alexander, Lily, Jonah, Dominic, Tessa, Andrew, Jacob, Abigail, Alyssa and Adam; a cousin and nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
