Lucille Y. Hawkins

Lucille Y (Lemaire) Hawkins, 92, of Manchester, died June 13, 2024, after a period of declining health, surrounded by her loving family.  

Born December 10, 1931, in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Romeo E. and Beatrice S. (Isabelle) Lemaire. 

Lucille traveled extensively with her husband during his military career and after his retirement, in their motor home. She was educated in the Manchester School system and worked in the shoe industry until her marriage. Lucille was a communicant, together with her husband, in the First Baptist Church of Goffstown for many years. 

Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur Hawkins of 51 years. 

Surviving family members include one daughter, Wanda A. Lessard and husband Steven of Hillsborough; three grandchildren, Shawn Lessard of Maui, Kimberly A. Lessard and Amber A. Lessard, both of Manchseter; one sister, Irene Racicot of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents; and one sister, Carmelle G. Bonsavage.
