Sister Lucille was born in New Bedford, MA, on July 7, 1912, the daughter of Albini and Aurore (Girouard) Hotte.
Sister Lucille entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1936 and made her final profession in 1943. She served the Congregation for 65 years.
Sister Lucille earned a BA from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, an MA in Sacred Science from St. Bonaventure, NY, and a Certificate in Culinary Arts from L'Ecole Menagere de Nominingue, Qc., Canada.
She was a culinary arts teacher in Nominingue and Baie Comeau, Quebec. She taught on the secondary level in Baie Comeau, Montreal, St. Laurent, Quebec; Pembroke, Ont; Manchester, Nashua, NH, and New Bedford, MA.
Her last assignment was as a Religious Education Coordinator in South Attleboro, MA, from 1969 to 1984.
Sister Lucille then retired to Our Lady of Sacred Heart Residence in Franklin, NH, where she served as maintenance supervisor. In 1996, Sister Lucille was transferred to St. George Manor, Manchester, NH. At the time of her death, she resided at Holy Cross Health Center.
She is survived by several nephews and nieces.
The funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the Chapel of St. George Manor. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
