Lucille M. (Gregoire) LeBlanc, 97, of Manchester, died November 22, 2016 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on October 4, 1919 to Arthur and Leda (St. Pierre) Gregoire. Lucille graduated from Manchester High School West and attended Hesser College along with her husband Sylvio. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester and had wintered in Sarasota, FL and summered in York Beach, ME.
Lucille was Top Clerk and co-owner with Sylvio, of LeBlanc Hardware in Manchester for nearly 50 years. She and Sylvio were also recognized as the Longest Married Couple in the State of New Hampshire in January 2016.
Lucille was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne at the former St. Jean the Baptist Church in Manchester. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and shuffle board.
The family includes her husband of 76 years, Sylvio G. LeBlanc of Manchester; five children, Paul LeBlanc and his wife, Maxine, of Fayetteville, AR, Norman LeBlanc and his wife, Deborah, of Plymouth, Philip LeBlanc and his wife, Irene, of Manchester, Lucie Collins and her husband, David, of Bow and Vivian Grenier and her husband, Bill, of Manchester; 12 grandchildren, Christine, Michelle, Michael, Dan, Sarah, Nathaniel, Steve, Cathy, Greg, Kelly, Melissa and Karen; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five siblings, Ena Larochelle, Annette Gagne, Fernande Gosselin, Roland Gregoire and Antonio Gregoire.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to: McGreal Sight Center, NH Assoc. for the Blind, 25 Walker St., Concord, NH 03301.
