Sister Lucille Reeves, CSC, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, 357 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, died August 28, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in New Bedford, MA, May 12, 1919, and was the daughter Albert and Rosalie (Mousseau) Reeves.
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1937 and made her final profession in 1945. She served the Congregation for 68 years.
Sister Lucille earned a BA from Notre Dame College in Manchester. She taught in parochial schools both at the elementary and high school level. She had been stationed in St. Albans, VT; New Bedford and Wesport, MA; North Grosvenordale, Ct; Rollinsford, Manchester, Nashua and Rochester, NH. She also taught and was a librarian at Notre Dame College for several years.
She retired to St. George Manor, Manchester, in 2001.
She is survived by several cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday September 1, 2005 in the chapel of St. George Manor. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
