Lucy T. (Helie) Mallet, 92, of Bedford, NH died peacefully at home on December 5, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Keene on August 21, 1931, she was the daughter of Edgar G. and Laura B. (Arseneault) Helie. She is a graduate of Keene High School.

Prior to retirement, she had worked for Henkles as a bookkeeper in Keene for many years with her sister, Rita.  She also worked as a bookkeeper at her husband Frenchy’s Campus Barber Shop in Keene.

Lucy spent many of her younger years on roller skates and dancing when she met her husband. She also loved music and had a natural singing voice. It was a special treat to hear her and her sisters harmonize. Lucy gained much strength from her Catholic faith. She had a warm loving smile, witty sense of humor, and always dressed stylishly.

Above all she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and aunt who loved her family with all her heart.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Leodoer J. Mallet in 2010. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Germaine Lambert, Irene Parenteau and Rita Bean.

Family members include her daughters, Debra Mahoney and husband Dr. Brian Mahoney of Bedford, Lisa Mallet and significant other Scott Whippie of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Justin Ethier and wife Cara, Lindsay Thompson, Olya, Alyana, and Rosa Mahoney; step- grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Mahoney; great-grandchildren, Aedina Ethier, Benjamin and Isabelle Laplume, Aubrey Ethier, Brody Thompson, Brigette Mahoney, Chase Ethier, Addisyn Thompson, and James Mahoney Mclnerny; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 15th at 10am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene.
