Lydia L. Dionne

She was born in Bedford on July 24, 1926, the daughter of Ernest Beland and Yvonne (Hebert) Binette. She attended West High School and prior to retirement, was a shoe shop worker in Manchester.

Lydia was a woman of extreme generosity, opening her home to any and all. She was always there to help others. She hosted all holiday meals and made sure a good time was had by all. She and her husband Louis were competitive bowlers and spent time traveling cross country, and to Canada, with friends and family. Lydia also had a passion for French Canadian music.

Her husband of 56 years, Louis J. Dionne, died in 2009.

Family members include several nieces and nephews; a number of godchildren; and her best friend, since the age of eight, Yvette Proulx. She was predeceased by her brothers George and Roger Beland.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 in St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn. Burial was held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. Memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
