Lydia M. Pilkowicz Polkutinis Valliere

Lydia M. Pilkowicz Polkutinis Valliere, 82, passed peacefully at her home on September 1, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones.
Lydia, known to most as Mrs. V or Ma V, was born in Manchester on May 14, 1936 and was raised by her grandparents who immigrated from Lithuania.
On a blind date, set up by her lifelong friends, Lydia met her future husband and father of their seven children. While running a busy household, full of love and laughter, Lydia proudly earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Sacred Heart. Lydia began her career on the maternity ward at Notre Dame Hospital and spent 52 years empathetically caring for her patients in multiple settings, including CMC ER for 38 years and retiring from Valley St. Prison in 2016. Her passion towards public service led her to many organizations, but her role as President of the NH Chapter of MADD was especially rewarding to her. Lydia was well known for lending a helping hand, hot food, and a warm home for all people and creatures alike.
Lydia was predeceased by her four angels, son Ray Ray Valliere; two daughters, Missy (Valliere) Christie and Bobbi Valliere; and grandson Tom Christie.
Surviving members of her gang include sons Mickey, Stephen, and Chris Bum; daughter Patti (Valliere) Ordeshook; ten grandchildren, Jessica (Christie) Bittle, Angela Christie, Michael Valliere Jr, Gregory and Jonathan Valliere, Justin Ordeshook, Nathan, Kyle, Jacob and McKaylyn Valliere; six great grandchildren Michael Valliere III, Victoria (Bittle) Wonson, Zack, Alex, Emily, and Maxwell Bittle and two great, great granddaughters, Madi and Ali Wonson.
Finally, Nikki, her beloved cat now resides in Gilford with Lydia's son Mickey, who is always late.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: White Mt. Recovery Home, 669 Union St., Littleton, NH 03561.
