She was born in Manchester on April 10, 1928, the daughter of Andrew and Madeline (Grauer) Moynihan. She attended Amoskeag School and Manchester High School West. After graduating from Mt. St. Mary College she worked for Girls Clubs of America, traveling all over the U.S. At age 25 she moved to New York City where she worked as a case worker for the City of New York and for American Airlines which gave her the chance to travel the world. She rode a camel in Egypt, skied a glacier in New Zealand and visited most of the countries in Europe. She especially loved Portugal and Brazil and she studied and became fluent in Portugese. She moved back to Manchester in 2000 to be near family. In her days at St. Teresa she was a member of the Glee Club and excelled at trivia.
She was predeceased by her sisters Dolores Murphy of Manchester, NH and Sally Mirabelli of Monroe, CT, and her brother Andrew Moynihan of Laconia, NH. She was loved by her nieces and nephews: Tara McGee, Jack Murphy, Tom Murphy, Lisa Hazeltine, John Moynihan, Martha, John, Joe and Andy Mirabelli.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the chapel at St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
