Madeleine M. (Bellemare) Guertin, 83, of Hooksett, passed quietly and peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord at her home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and beloved Memere.

Madeleine was born and raised in Manchester and settled in Hooksett where she raised her beautiful family. She was born on June 9, 1937, the daughter of Mathias and Marie Rose (Turmelle) Bellemare, both deceased. She is preceded in death by her three brothers, Marcel Bellemare, Yvan Bellemare, and Claude Bellemare.

Madeleine spent 10 years at Baxter Healthcare where she enjoyed being a Line Leader in the Auto-Syringe Division. She also worked at Manchester Hosiery and TSE in Manchester. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Manchester where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and of the bereavement committee. She was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Association Canado-Americaine.

Madeleine enjoyed gardening at her home, walking miles around the neighborhood, reading a good murder mystery, hiking with her grandchildren and cooking. She loved watching her family participate in the activities that they enjoyed. She also loved to travel which included a trip to Europe, Asia and many beautiful places around the United States. She spent most summer days taking in the warm sun and enjoying special time with family on Ayers Lake in Barrington.

Madeleine is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Leo A. Guertin of Hooksett; three children, Lise Bellaud, Gene Guertin of Hooksett and Lynne Grey (Vicky Tierney) of Barrington; two grandchildren, Shawna (Kayla) Bellaud of Pennsylvania and Collin Bellaud of Massachusetts; two brothers, Gerald Bellemare and Jean Bellemare both of Manchester; several cousins, nieces and nephews; her beloved poodle, Ebony, along with all of her grand-pets.
