Manuel A. "Manny" Acosta-Mena, 68, of Manchester, died September 3, 2018, at the Elliot Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico on June 30, 1950, he was the son of Arturo Manuel and Carmela (Mena Casanova) Acosta. He was educated and received his high school diploma in New Orleans. Manny worked as a Corporate Trainer for Toyota of Nashua for many years. He became a US Citizen April 18, 2014 and was so proud of his citizenship.
Manny was passionate about golf and absorbing the news. He loved to dance, especially to Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson. He enjoyed watching sports, mainly football and baseball. Other loves were playing pool, darts, and photography. Above all, he will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, son, stepfather, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.
Family includes his beloved wife of 14 years, Wilma D. (Webb) Acosta of Manchester; two stepsons, Joseph S. Marion, wife Michelle, and their children Jacob T. and Lena G. of Kensington, CT, and Neal F. Marion of Berlin, CT; sisters-in-law, Pauline Mahoney, husband Allan, and their family of E. Hampstead, and Cathryn Chandler, husband William, and their family of Punta Gorda, FL; brother-in-law, William Webb, Jr., wife Leslie, and family of Epping; and many close relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Bedford, NH 03110.
