Marcel G. "Red" Daigle, 82, of Manchester, died February 21, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, August 3, 1920, he was the son of Laurent and Leonora (Pelchat) Daigle. He was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Daigle served in the Army during World War II.
He retired in 1980 from the US Postal Service after working 30 years as a letter carrier.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Family members include his wife of 54 years, Anita (Grenier) Daigle of Manchester; 2 sons, Dennis Daigle of Teleride, Colorado, and Michael Daigle of Rye, NH; 2 grandchildren; a sister, Gilbert Rowlands of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Roland Daigle of Manchester; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial mass was celebrated Tuesday February 25, 2003 in St. Anthony Church. Urn burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, in the spring.
