Marcel G. Faucher, 84, of Manchester, died on Friday August 24, 2018 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Manchester on October 10, 1933, son to Romeo and Aurore (Couturier) Faucher. Marcel was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Marcel graduated from St. Anthony's High School, and enlisted in the United States Army. He was activated into active duty during the Berlin Crisis in 1961, 172nd division, and spent 14 years in the New Hampshire National Guard. He spent his career as a sheet metal worker.
He was active with Boy Scouts for 31 years, a Scout master at St. Edmond Parish, and volunteered on Auburn Fire Department.
Marcel was predeceased by his son Gerald Faucher, daughter Susie Faucher, and sister Claire Proulx.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Pauline M. (Roux) Faucher of Manchester; his son Thomas Faucher and his wife Elaine of Manchester; his daughter Michelle Grant and her husband David of Goffstown; grandchildren Marcel T Faucher, Nicole Pond, Kristen Mitchell, Tom Faucher, Cory Grant, Steve Grant, Megan Grant; and 7 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St. Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mount Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
