Marcia G. (Whittemore) Preban, 81, of Manchester died January 18, 2005 at a local health care facility after a period of declining health.
She was born in Acton, ME on September 13, 1923 the daughter of Frank and Florence (Murray) Whittemore.
Along with her husband, she was the owner and operator of the Chimes Cafe on Elm St. in Manchester. Her husband William J. Preban died in 1989. She was a long-time participant in the Foster Grandparent Program.
She was a long-time and much loved parishioner of St. Raphael Church.
Members of her family include a sister, Avis Blanchard of Manchester; Three nieces.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St., Manchester, on Friday January 21, 2005. Spring burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Springville, ME.
