Margaret A. Coleman

December 23, 1915 — April 1, 2005

Margaret Alice (Haystead) Coleman of Goffstown died April 1, 2005 at her home in Goffstown after a long illness.

She was born in Toronto, Canada and was the daughter of William and Maude Haystead. Margaret moved to Niagara Falls, NY upon her marriage to Harold Coleman on September 24, 1938. They moved to Manchester, NH in 1971 and in 1999 Margaret moved to Goffstown with her daughter Susan.

Margaret worked for many years at Jenss Department Store in Niagara Falls and Jordan Marsh in Bedford, NH from which she received many awards for her friendliness and salesmanship.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Niagara Falls and Grace Episcopal Church in Manchester. She enjoyed people, shopping and bowling. She was devoted to her family, friends, and neighbors and will be greatly missed.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Harold James Coleman who died in 1990.

Family members include one son, William Coleman of Linden, Michigan, three daughters Joan Jones of Binghamton, New York, Susan Howard of Goffstown, New Hampshire, and Carol Battista of Carmel, New York, a sister, Doris Istead of Bloomfield, Ontario, Canada, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral with Holy Eucharist was held Tuesday April 5, 2005 at Grace Episcopal Church, 106 Lowell St, Manchester. The Reverend Charles Blauvelt officiated.

Burial was in the Westlawn Cemetery, North Mast St. Goffstown.
