Margaret C. Gelinas

   Margaret C. (Lally) Gelinas, 98, of Manchester, died November 21, 2022 at The Courville at Manchester after a period of declining health.

   She was born in Manchester on February 29, 1924 to Hugh and Winnifred (Carey) Lally.  She earned an associate’s degree at NH School of Accounting and lived in Manchester for most of her life.

   Margaret could pick up any musical instrument and enjoyed playing, particularly piano and guitar.  She enjoyed dancing, spending time at Hampton Beach with her family and long car rides to nowhere with her husband, Paul.

   She was predeceased by her husband, Paul B. Gelinas in 1996; a son, Thomas J. Gelinas in 2015 and seven siblings, Anne Lally, Hugh Lally, John Lally, Ruth Schanda, Lillian McDerby, Mary Lally and Winnifred “Babe” Lee.

   Margaret is survived by two sons, Kenneth Gelinas and his wife, Suzanne, of Boca Raton, FL and Russell Gelinas and his partner, Sarah Terison, of Portland, ME; five grandchildren, David, Laura, Timothy, Kathleen and Terrance; three great grandchildren, Sophia, Nina and Lucas; two siblings William “Bill” Lally and Esther Baroody; and nieces and nephews.

   There are no public services.  Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford at the convenience of the family.
