Margaret E. Mucci

Margaret E. (Lyons) Mucci, 75, of Manchester, died December 18, 2016 at Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.

She was born in Somerville, MA on August 5, 1941 to John and Helen (Sherman) Lyons. She grew up in Somerville then lived in Malden, MA for most of her life before moving to Manchester several years ago.

Margaret was a devoted wife and mother. She worked as a bookkeeper at the family's business in Malden, MA for many years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, murder mysteries and word search puzzles. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family, including her precious grandchildren who were the loves of her life.

She was predeceased by her parents and three siblings, Thomas Lyons, Jack Lyons and Teresa Risley.

The family includes her husband of 50 years, Joseph J. Mucci Jr.; her son, Joseph J. Mucci III and his wife, Kimberley, of Weare; two grandchildren, Brennan and Ryan Mucci; her sister, Patricia Poor and her husband, Richard, of Texas; her brother, Daniel Lyons of Somerville, MA; and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest St., Malden, MA.
