Margaret D. Reed

Margaret D. Reed, 89, formerly of 376 Walnut St., Manchester, died January 2, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, November 26, 1912, she was the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Bradley) Donnelly. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Reed graduated from Central High School in 1930and from the College of Mount St. Vincent, New York City, in 1934

She was a teacher in the Manchester school system for many years. She retired from Central High School where she taught in the English department until the middle 1970's.

She was married to William E. Reed, who died in 1976.

There are no immediate family members.

There were no calling hours.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated January 4, 2002 in St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., was in charge of arrangements.
