Marguerite Flore (Desfosses) Bedard, 94, of Pinardville died March 6, 2016 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in Manchester on August 8, 1921, she was the daughter of Lucien and Antoinette (Marcotte) Desfosses.
She had worked many years at the Bi-Wise Market and also at Stewart's Department Store.
Marguerite loved to play games like Scrabble, Pass-the-Card and 31. Her wonderful sense of humor improved as she gracefully aged. She will be missed.
She was a longtime resident of Pinardville and a communicant of the former St. Edmond Church. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to the staff of Unit A at the HCNH. Their care and support helped the family through this trying time.
Her husband of 66 years, Maurice "Bill" Bedard predeceased her in 2013.
Together, they raised a family of seven children including three daughters, Louise Labrie, Muriel Mitchell and Giselle Chenard; four sons, Maurice Bedard and wife Donna, Andre Bedard and wife Denise, Marc Bedard and Charles Bedard and wife Paula; She was known as "Memere" to her 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, March 11, 2016 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. She and her husband will both be interred in the NH State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to the Merrimack VNA Hospice Program, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
