Marguerite Lamoureux

October 2, 1919 — November 14, 2007

Marguerite Lamoureux, 88, died November, 14, 2007 after a period of declining health. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Leonard in 1991, also four brothers and one sister.

Marguerite was born in Stanhope, P.Q. Canada, the daughter of Damien and Georgiana Lamoureux.

She and her husband Leonard moved to the United States, to Westford, VT in 1945. By 1948, the family moved to Berlin, NH. There, Marguerite devoted much energy establishing a group in the Third Order of St.Francis. For thirty years, she was "Maitresse des Novices." She also belonged to the Association of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. In Manchester, NH she also became a Eucharistic Minister. She cared for the sick at St. Louis Hospital in Berlin, the Notre Dame Hospital in Manchester, and the Sisters of Holy Cross Nursing Home on Mammoth Road in Manchester, NH.

Marguerite had fond memories of her trip to Medugorie, Yugoslavia as well as family celebrations at Christmas, New Years, Easter and other holidays. She loved playing cards, doing crafts and watching hockey games on television all before macular degeneration took most of her sight. Marguerite also enjoyed the visits of her devoted friend Madeleine.

Family members include her son Claude Lamoureux and wife Gloria of Bedford, NH, two granddaughters, Melanie Maggiore and husband Jim of North Hampton, NH and Amy Lamoureux of Cape Neddick, ME and three cherished great grandchildren, Casey, Josie and Matthew Maggiore.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday November 17, 2007 at Parish of the Transfiguration. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
