Marguerite L. Lavigne, 85, of Manchester, died August 1, 2006, at her residence surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester, October 8, 1920, and was the daughter of Arthur and Nellida (Boudreau) Marion. She was a lifelong resident of this city.
She worked at Ferretti's for a time and at Waumbec Mills for many years. She was also a professional cake decorator and had worked at Granite Street Bakery and at St. Marie High School cafeteria.
Her family was her pride and joy.
She was a communicant of St. Marie Church where she was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne.
She was married to Louis Philippe Lavigne, who died in 1991.
She leaves five children, Rev. Maurice D. Lavigne, Pastor of St. Theresa's Parish, Rye Beach, NH, Suzanne P. Therrien, Edward L. Lavigne, Diane A. Lavigne, and Jeannette Plumpton and her husband Drew, all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Gary Therrien, Katie Plumpton, Meghan Plumpton, and Jennifer Plumpton; a great grandchild, Noah Hall-Plumpton; a sister, Irene Fournier of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday August 4, 2006 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
