Marguerite H. Lemay

Marguerite H. (Hebert) (Poirier) Lemay, 98, of Manchester died February 20, 2011 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born in Manchester on February 8, 1913 to Alphonse and Malvina (Brousseau) Hebert. She lived in Manchester most of her life.

Mrs. Lemay worked as a social worker for the city of Manchester Welfare Department for many years.

She enjoyed many crafts including knitting, quilting and embroidery. She also enjoyed time spent with her family, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Emile Poirier in 1961, and by her second husband, Henry O. Lemay in 1977.

IN HER LIFE: The family includes three daughters, Marjorie A. Gaillard, Elaine G. Poirier and Patricia A. Blais and her husband, John, all of Manchester; four step children, Dolores Lemay of Nashua, Ronald Lemay of Manchester, Denise Ankarberg and her husband, Mark, of Exeter and Florida, and Norman Lemay and his wife, Debbie, of Bedford; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
