Sister Marguerite Valade ( S. M. Marguerite of the Rosary) 88 a Sister of Holy Cross died at Holy Cross

Health Center, 357 Island Pond Road, Manchester, NH on August 1, 2002.

Born in Thompson, CT on December 3, 1913 daughter of Alphonse and Marie (Coderre) Valade. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1933 and made her final profession in 1940.

Sister earned her B.A. from Notre Dame College in Manchester. An educator, she taught in the NH elementary schools of Nashua, Suncook, Gonic and Manchester.

As a retired sister she served for many years in the parish of Nashua and within the Holy Cross community in various capacities until she became ill and spent her last one and a half years at Holy Cross Health Center.

The family members include nieces and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2002 in the chapel ofSt. George Manor. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., is in charge of arrangements.
