Marianne Barrette

Marianne "Kelly" Barrette, 54, of Bedford, NH died peacefully, and surrounded by family, in her home on October 30, 2013. She navigated her journey through the tribulations of breast cancer with enviable courage, and persevered with strength and grace through the very end.

Kelly was born in Manchester, NH on June 19, 1959 to Dwight and Mary (O'Halloran) Fournier. She attended Memorial High School and achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rivier College in 2012, even while undergoing cancer treatments.

Kelly was a registered nurse and had worked for Elliot Pulmonary Medicine Associates in Manchester. She was also a lover of animals, having worked in veterinary clinics and adopting cats in need of a home.

Family members include two sons, Timothy R. Barrette of Manchester, NH and Tyler D. Barrette of Nashua, NH; her former husband, Paul Barrette of Bedford, NH; her fiance, Patrick Crean of Litchfield, NH; four sisters, Sharon Nelson of Eliot, ME, Guinevere Twitchell of Portland, ME, Gayle Gobin of Goffstown, NH, and Marcie Boivin of Merrimack, NH.

She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Fournier.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Lambert Funeral & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH.

In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire in Bedford.
