Marie B. Gabert

August 26, 1939 — August 5, 2023

Manchester

Manchester, NH – Marie B. Gabert 83,  passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 26, 1939 in Fitzwilliam, NH, she was the daughter to the late Theodore and Antoinette (St. Cyr) Marceau. She was raised and educated in Lincoln until she met her husband, and was a loving and devoted homemaker.

Marie had a passion for horses, having had her horses shown at many shows throughout New England over the years. She was delighted to have her great-granddaughter, Alyson, carry on her legacy in continuing with the love of horses. Marie was proud of her special bond with all of her great-grandchildren.

Some of Marie’s fondest memories were road trips with her daughter, her annual girl’s trips, camping along the Kancamagus Highway with the “Fugawee Tribe”, and planning family gatherings with her special red dishes for the holidays. No gathering was complete without one of her infamous and comical fibs.

Marie’s greatest achievements in life were her loving children and her beloved husband of 48 years, Eugene “Buzz” Gabert, who sadly passed away in 2004.

Marie is lovingly remembered by her children, Michael Gabert of Hooksett, Cynthia Demers and her husband, Jamie of Northfield and Ann Jacques of Claremont; four grandchildren, Melissa Tuttle and her husband, Jason of Hooksett, Amy Beth Capizzi and her husband, Greg of New York, NY, Michael Gabert, Jr., of Texas and Jennifer Demers and her significant other, Chris Farr of Northfield;  two step-grandchildren, Roxanne Doche and Christopher Demers; eight great-grandchildren, Alyson, Alexis, Elijah, Ryan, Maddox, Islie, Mila and Maddison and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie also leaves behind her beloved furry companions, Gracie, Katie, Cardi, Buzzy and Levi.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she is predeceased by her three brothers, Donald, Lewis and Robert Marceau and her son-in-law, Yvon Jacques.

Marie’s family would like to thank the nursing staff at The Meetinghouse at Riverfront and the staff of the Manchester VNA and Hospice, both for their kind and compassionate care.
