Marie T. Sherman

Marie T. Sherman, 78, of Virginia Beach, VA died September 15, 2005 at her home after a long illness.

She was born in Newton, MA on October 20, 1926. She grew up in Hartford, CT, then lived most of her life in Manchester before moving to Virginia Beach five years ago.

Mrs. Sherman had worked at the former Derryfield Home and at Honeywell both in Manchester. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Post 79 in Manchester.

She was married to William T. Sherman who died in 1996.

The family includes three sons, Frederick Zyliak of Virginia Beach, VA, Bruce Zyliak of Hoboken, NJ and George Zyliak of Manchester; two daughters, Sandra Zyliak of Manchester and Linda Bascom of Auburn; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday September 21, 2005 in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Burial followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St., Manchester.
