Marilyn J. Marooney

Marilyn Josephine Marooney, 78, of Manchester, NH died November 6, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on May 15, 1928, the daughter of Charles A. Priest and Lucy G. (Christie) Priest. During her upbringing her family resided in Nashua, NH.

Prior to retirement, she had worked many years with her husband running Marooney Realty and Insurance Company. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur R. Marooney on June 30, 1993.

Marilyn worked hard and sacrificed much to raise her family. People instantly fell in love with her for her humble and gentle nature.

Members of her family include four sons, Richard J. and Sharon Marooney of Atlanta, GA, Timothy J. and Lisa Marooney of Manchester, Christopher M. and Robert D. Marooney, both of Manchester; twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Jamie and their children Luke and Micah, Kristen and Jonathan and their child Parker, David and Paula and their children Nathan, Austin, and Jack, Sarah and Josh and their daughter Eve, Michael, Esther, Hannah, Elizabeth, Daniel, Caleb, and Seth; one sister of Hillsborough, NH.

The funeral service was held in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, on Thursday November 9, 2006. Burial followed in the new St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
