Marion L. Chaffe

Marion L. "Mamie" Chaffe, 87, of Bedford, NH died June 24, 2006 at the Arbors of Bedford after a long illness.

Born in Stoneham, MA on July 23, 1918, she was the daughter of Thomas and Kathryn (Foley) Donaghey.

She was a graduate of Stoneham (MA) High School and lived many years in Stoneham and Winchester before moving to New Hampshire several years ago.

Mrs. Chaffe volunteered at Winchester Hospital for 30 years. She was married to James E. Chaffe who died in 1981. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie Asci and Ann Darcy and a brother, Arthur L. "Bud" Donaghey.

The family includes three children, Janet Fisher of Burlington, MA, Patricia Ambrose of Manchester, MA and Barbara Emery of Ohio; grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday June 26, 2006 in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester, NH. Private burial was in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester, MA.
