Mark W. Baldwin

d. February 17, 2013

Mark W. Baldwin, 53, of Londonderry, died unexpectedly February 17, 2013, after spending a wonderful evening with his friends. He was adored by his family and friends who will always remember his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, contagious generosity, and overall positive outlook on life.

He was born in Coco Beach, Florida on August 26, 1959, the son of Frederick and LaVerne Baldwin. He took pride in working beside his father for the family business, Baldwin Investments Inc., for almost thirty years.

Mark met his wife, Cindy, at a fourth of July party in 1978. They were married in 1983, and this September would have marked their 30th wedding anniversary. Mark was a star basketball player at Pinkerton Academy. His love for basketball continued throughout his life; last spring he led "Team Green" to victory in his over-thirty league. He was also an avid runner and founder of Balanced Rush running club.

He was the life of the party in all aspects of life. He was admired and deeply loved by his wife and three daughters, who will forever cherish their time with him. If he wasn't on his moped, Mark could often be found driving his tractor around the neighborhood giving out help where it was needed. He was an extraordinary individual with a big heart. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first grandson this July.

Family members include his wife, Cynthia (Hawkins) Baldwin of Londonderry; his three daughters, Chantel Emery and her husband, Jack, of Brookline, Chloe and Sierra Baldwin; his father, Frederick Baldwin and his wife, Patricia, of Bedford; his mother, LaVerne Baldwin of Derry; his two brothers, Richard Baldwin of Dallas, TX and Craig Baldwin and his wife, Jin. of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Terri Baldwin of Derry; sister-in-law, Monique Hawkins and his nephew, Talin Hawkins of Arlington, MA; and his "quarter-dozen" dogs, Kona, Milo, and Bentley.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

Memorial donations may be made to Londonderry Trailways, P.O. Box 389, Londonderry, NH 03053 (on memo line, "Mark Baldwin/Rail Trails")
