Mark A. Littlefield, 51, of Manchester died Monday January 1, 2024 after a period of declining health resulting from pulmonary fibrosis. His loved ones were by his side.
Born August 25, 1972 in Newton, MA, he was the son of Mary F. (Ewell) and David E. Littlefield, Sr. He grew up in Newton and later moved to New Hampshire. In February 2015 he married his wife Sasha and they enjoyed nearly 9 years of marriage together.
Mark was born legally blind due to a degenerative eye disease. He underwent numerous surgeries which allowed him to regain a level of sight, but his eyesight continued to decline throughout his life. With the spirit of a survivor and a great sense of humor (and some sarcasm), he did not allow his disability to keep him from making the best of his life.
Mark loved dogs and worked as a police dog trainer and canine officer for the state of New Hampshire for many years. Once his eyesight prevented him from continuing in this role, he began training seeing eye dogs.
Mark will be remembered for his love and care for his wife Sasha, his sense of humor, his survivor’s spirit and his faith in the Lord. He will be missed be all who loved him.
Mark is survived by his wife Sasha Littlefield of Manchester; his aunts Patty Manoli & her husband Al of Belmont, NH and Carol Josey & her husband Bill of Northwood, NH; his cousin Matt Levrault & his wife Tara of Campton, NH; and his dog Elvis.
