Martha M. Descheneau

   Martha M. (Bouchard) Descheneau, 77, of Bedford, passed June 21, 2022 at the Mt. Carmel Center in Manchester after a period of declining health.

   She was born in Manchester on December 15, 1944 to Florian and Martha (Parker) Bouchard.  She lived her entire life in the Bedford area.

   Martha worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Elliot Hospital for over 40 years in the maternity ward.  She was there for thousands of newborns at Elliot for over 4 decades, so many of you have met her.  Her world revolved around her family gatherings, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed gardening, making crafts, and designing her home with antiques.

   She was predeceased by her parents and two siblings, Pamela Bouchard and Richard Bouchard.

   Martha is survived by her husband of 53 years, Armand Descheneau of Bedford; two children, Brenda A. Cronin of Waltham, MA and Brian M. Descheneau of Concord; a sister, Judith A. Descheneau of Manchester; one aunt and cousins, nieces and nephews.

   SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday (6/28) from 9 to 11 a.m. followed immediately at 11 a.m. by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.  Private interment is at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at the convenience of the family.
