Martha A. Gregoire

June 24, 1945 — November 10, 2022

Manchester, NH

Martha A. (Miner) Gregoire, 77, of Manchester, passed away November 10, 2022, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a period of declining health.

She was born in Claremont on June 24, 1945 to Walter and Norma (Parker) Miner. She graduated from Steven’s High School and went on to attend Bates College in Lewiston, ME where she earned a degree in Education.

After living in Boston, Martha began teaching English and French in Weare where she met her future husband, Roger.  Martha and Roger were married on August 9, 1969. Martha decided to leave teaching to raise her three boys and later began a career working in insurance. In retirement, she volunteered at the Manchester Animal Shelter.

Martha was known as a devoted daughter, wife and mother who always was available for her boys. She loved playing card games, reading and traveling.  One of her most memorable trips was a vacation to Italy with some dear friends where she was able to put her love of wine into practice.  She had a love for music, especially Neil Diamond.

Martha loved pets and adopted several cats over the years and from a dear friend, she welcomed Molly, her first dog into the family, who jokingly became the daughter she never had.

Martha is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger J. Gregoire of Manchester; three sons, David J. Gregoire and his significant other, Lisa Molloy, of Manchester, Matthew W. Gregoire of Somerville, MA and Mark W. Gregoire of Manchester; a brother, John Miner and his wife, Ellen; a cousin and several nieces and nephews…and her affectionate cat Booker.

The family will have a private service and request that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester, NH 03102.
