Mary A. Vieira Billman, 90, of Valrico, FL died July 10, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on July 19, 1919 in Lowell, MA, the daughter of John and Matilda Abreu. A gifted student, she graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of 1937. During WWII, she worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

She retired, at the age of 70, from the S.B.A. in Concord where she managed S.C.O.R.E. and the Women in Business Program.

Mary lived a very spirited and enthusiastic life, volunteering at the Elliot Hospital and at the Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, FL. An avid gardener with a special passion for orchids, Mary was also an exceptional card player, a fierce competitor at scrabble and could cut a rug on the dance floor. BINGO was music to her ears!

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Joseph G. Vieira, a brother, Tony Abreu, and two sisters, Virginia Gregory and Lenore Kource.

She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Paul Billman, Sr. of Valrico, FL; a brother, Daniel Abreu of Manchester and a sister, Beatrice Roy of Bedford.

Family members include two sons, Stephen J. Vieira of Manchester, Richard J. Vieira of Port Richey, FL; one daughter, Joyce C. Bishop of Raymond; six grandchildren, Colleen (Bishop) Vaughan, Scott Vieira, Chet Bishop, Joseph Bishop, Amy (Vieira) Anderson, Karen (Vieira) Lavelle; nine great-grandchildren, Zachery, Joseph, Ramiro, Myranda, Ricardo, Bryce, Brady, Mikenna and Lauryn.

Urn burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road.
