Mary B. Boardman, 81, of Manchester, died August 23, 2010, at the Elliot hospital, following a sudden illness. She was born in Manchester, September 28, 1928, and was the daughter of James and Mary (Florek) Fox. Mary was a graduate of Manchester High School Central class of 1946. For over thirty years she worked as a telephone operator at the former New England Telephone. Later she volunteered for five years at the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Tuesday woman's coffee bowling league at the lakeside lanes, The Ladies division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the auxiliary of the American Legion Sweeney Post # 2

Mary was an avid member of Red Sox Nation, and a fan of the Boston Celtics

Mary enjoyed good conversation and will be remembered for her easy going manner, and her ability to make friends.

IN HER LIFE: Family members include her children, James Boardman, and Linda Falchioni, of FL, Patricia and her husband Thomas Thirsk, of Manchester, Jack Boardman, and his wife Pamela, of Weare, Tom Boardman, of RI, Kathleen Feeney, and her husband Kevin, of Goffstown; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Gordon of MA, Meaghan Feeney, of Goffstown; a sister, Irene Fox, of Manchester; a cousin, Gerry Bournival, of Allenstown; several nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Boardman.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, August 27, 2010 at St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd.

Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St. Bedford.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 1800 Elm St. Manchester, NH.
