Mary C. Courtney, 84, of Manchester, died December 16, 2017 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of failing health.
She was born in Newton, MA August 24, 1933 to John T. and Gladys T. (Palmer) Wolfe. She grew up in Newton and attended Newton High School.
Mary lived in Londonderry for 25 years and was most recently from Manchester.
She leaves her husband of 65 years, Richard W. Courtney of Manchester; two daughters, Kathi A. Murphy and husband Jack of Manchester, Mary Celia Brinkerhoff and husband Jim of Westford, MA; six sons, Richard W. Courtney and wife Mickie of Green, RI, David J. Courtney and wife Joyce of Warwick, RI, Michael T. Courtney of Junction, TX, Daniel L. Courtney and wife Lynette of Warwick, RI, Timothy E. Courtney and wife Roberta of Nashua, and Garry F. Courtney and wife Wendy of Kissimmee, FL; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren;
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kelly Jean Courtney and by a sister, Frances Reuman.
Mary was an intelligent and very artistic woman who enjoyed knitting, sewing, embroidery, painting, and quilting.
