Mary Francis (Reis) Germana, 98, of Goffstown, NH died on March 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family and the family pet, Miss Sadie May.
Born in Lawrence, MA on October 21, 1926, she was the daughter of Bartolomeu and Olivia (Silva) Reis. She graduated from Lawrence High School.
Mary devoted her life to her family, raising seven children, and assisting in the care of her grandchildren.
Mary cherished the time she spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, a woman of compassion who loved everyone she met and was loved by all who met her. She was a devout Catholic.
Mary enjoyed spending time at the beach, playing cards, and candlepin bowling.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dominic L. Germana in 1991; her daughter, Janice Germana Lodato; her sons-in-law, Dr. Gerard Hevern and Michael Conroy; her brother, Salvatore Reis; her sister, Lucy DiPaolo, and her best friend and sister-in-law, Virginia Lorenzo.
Family members include her children, Donna Hevern, Linda Gianitsis and husband Tony, Mark Germana and wife Susan, Mary Ann Mafera, Nancy Germana, and Christopher Germana; her beloved grandchildren, Tim Clayton and wife Kate, Dominic Germana and wife Sarah, John Gianitsis, Erin McLaughlin and husband Matt, Shannon Krause and husband Eli, Alicia Hughes and husband Elliott, Matt Mafera, Michael Gianitsis, Jamie Seimer and husband Stephen, Nicholas Gianitsis and wife Mary Beth; many great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces.
Mary’s journey was made more comfortable by the compassionate care provided by her kind and dedicated caregivers, as well as VNA Hospice, Manchester, NH.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., will be Friday, March 21 from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22 at St. Catherine Church at 10:00 am.
