Mary J. Gingras, 69, of Manchester, died on August 27, 2021, at her residence, after a courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on January 31, 1952, she was the daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Lawrence) Horne. She was educated in Manchester and a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She worked for Villa Crest Nursing Home for many years before retiring in 1995.
Mary was very kind and loving. She enjoyed spending time traveling and going to casinos with her husband Ernie. She also enjoyed playing bingo. Her family was what was most important to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving family members include her husband of 52 years, Ernest, J. Gingras, Jr. of Manchester, three children, Tammy Cooper and husband Chester of Manchester; Peggy Gingras and significant other, Daniel Carachuelo of Goffstown; and Joseph Gingras and wife Tanya of Manchester; five grandchildren, Candace, Maranda, Rebecca, Tyler and Alexis; nine great grandchildren, Tyrell Jr., Jaiden, Jara'myah, Jae'mely, Carmelo, Tyquon Jr., Mateo, Jaziah and Jae'ella; three sisters, Linda Longden, Joan Manning and Deb Horne; two brothers, Robert and John Horne; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents; one grandson, Kingston; and one brother, David Horne.
SERVICES: Calling hours are from 1 pm to 3 pm, with a Service of Remembrance beginning promptly at 3 pm on Saturday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
