Mary Elizabeth Kirby-DeAngelis, 94, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Courville at Carlyle Place in Bedford, New Hampshire.
Mary was born in Boston, MA on May 13, 1924 to Victor Albion Caseau and Lucia Perrigo Hill. She was raised in Arlington, Massachusetts and graduated from Arlington High School. Her sister, Lillian Wood and brothers, Charles and Victor predeceased her.
Mary was the business owner of Kirby Realty Incorporated in Park Square, Boston, formed by her late husband, Ralph Edmund Kirby. Many years were spent in Wellesley, Mass where she raised her family and was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Mary was a devout Catholic her entire life and thoroughly enjoyed her many pilgrimages. She was an outdoor woman who was an avid tennis player, golfer, skier, and competitive ballroom dancer. She enjoyed Scrabble and numerous board games throughout her life. She was an active member of The Boston Outing Club where she valued her camping trips, made lifelong friends, and met her first husband, Ralph. Many years later, she retired and married X. Anthony DeAngelis. She loved her time on Sandy Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, and relished many summers in Wolfeboro at Point Breeze or winters in Fort Meyers, Florida.
Her family includes children Deborah A. Shepherd and husband Scott of Wellesley, MA, Lucinda A Lloyd of Portsmouth, NH, Elizabeth A. Murray and husband James Jr. of Westborough, MA, Bradford F. Kirby of Belmont, NH, Alexandra M. Schack and husband Charles of Bedford, NH and Robert V. Kirby and his wife Heather of Stoughton, MA, and numerous grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. Elizabeth of Seton Catholic Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
