Mary Lamy, 87, of Bedford, died November 11, 2021 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on April 23, 1934 to Michael and Margaret (Burke) Van Lier.
Mary earned her degree in nursing from Notre Dame Hospital and worked as a registered nurse for 40 years at Catholic Medical Center.
During retirement Mary enjoyed playing tennis and dedicated much of her time to volunteering, particularly for Birth Right.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years Raymond Lamy in 1999.
She is survived by her daughters Jeannie Vierlander and her husband Timothy, of Roaring River, NC; Margaret Robillard and her husband John, of Atkinson; a son, Raymond and his wife Laurie; five grandchildren, Emily Robillard, Jonathan & Leah Billodeau, Elizabeth & Sarah; a sister Carol Van Uden; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Robert Van Lier.
SERVICES: An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday November 18th at 10:00 am at Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford, NH followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Committal prayers will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bedford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN.
