Mary Skinner

March 22, 1948 — June 3, 2021

Mary Skinner, 73, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on June 3rd at home surrounded by her entire family who had cared for her for several days.

Born on March 22, 1948 in Winchester, MA, the daughter of Arthur and Emma Johnson. Mary is survived by her husband, John Skinner, with whom shared 14 years of marriage. She has three daughters Leslie Philbrick, Michelle Nichols and Allison Ramos; a total of seven grandchildren Brittany Nichols, Kassie Vezina, Shayla Nichols, Nathan Herman, Sophia Ramos, Joseph and Shaun Philbrick.

Mary worked for several years as a health care coordinator, scheduler and eventually as a hands on health care provider for Visiting Angels. Mary loved everyone she met and was adored by them. A "hot ticket" they'd say. She was an extraordinary woman.

Mary had a special place in her heart for cats. Over the years, she had more than one could count with one exception. Her favorite to this day is Pokie Skinner, Pokie stayed with her until her very last breath.

Mary was an excellent cook after all, she's Italian, and she shared all of her cooking secrets with her granddaughters. Mary would consider herself a fair weather fan and you could catch her shouting "sweet" anytime the Patriots scored. Mary was always dancing to Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Cher and the Mamas and the Papas. Mary loved the actor Sam Elliot and delighted watching him in whatever movie he was ever in. Mary had a soft spot for Mr. Miagi in the Karate Kid, it was her favorite movie.

A celebration of her life will be determined at a later date per her wishes.
