Matthew F. Dachowski

Born in Manchester on December 17, 1920, he was the son of Alexander and Pauline Dachowski. He was educated in the local school system and graduated from Manchester Central High School.

He served in the US Coast Guard after high school.

Most recently, Matty had been employed in the maintenance department of Normandeau's Environmental Company.

He and his wife enjoyed camping, playing cards, and socializing with family and friends. He will be remembered as a hard worker who was also the best father a family could ask for.

Above all else, he will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Theresa (Pepin) Dachowski in 2012.

Family members include two daughters, Diane Marcoux and Susan Desrosiers, both of Manchester; one son, David Dachowski and wife Pamela of Bedford; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Rebecca, Caitlin, Kyle and Erin; great-grandchildren, Delaney and Violet Theresa; nephews and nieces.

The funeral service took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
