Maureen Harrington DeCloux, resident of Manchester, New Hampshire and beloved wife of the late Richard J. DeCloux, passed away Thursday March 19, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born May 7, 1934 to the late Cornelius and Bessie Harrington. She grew up in Cambridge, MA and was predeceased by her sisters Naomi Ferguson and her late husband Charles of Medford MA, Cornelia Toffolo and her late husband Luigi of Wilton, CT and Monica McCafferty and her late husband John of Cambridge, MA. She was the cherished mother of Amy DeCloux of Manchester, Christopher DeCloux of Goffstown, Gregory DeCloux of Goffstown, and Jennifer Courtney of Manchester. She was the loving grandmother of Lauren, Catherine, Allyson, Patrick, Julia and Brendan, and great grandmother to Charlotte and Adelynn. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy (1952) and Simmons College (1956) as a dietician.
Mamma loved sailing with Dick, going Amy's and Jen's Swim meets, watching Chris and Greg's hockey games. She loved playing tennis and walking around Dohr's Pond and meeting up for ice cream with her friends. She loved going to Boston to meet up with her schoolmates from NDA...but her absolute joy was being NANA!
She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena in Manchester, and a member of the civil rights commission of NH and the American Association of University Women. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena, 207 Hemlock Street, Manchester, NH at 10 AM. Internment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, 488 Donald St, Bedford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen's memory to Notre Dame Academy, 1073 Main Street, Hingham, MA 02043, or the charity of your choice.
