Maureen T. (Murphy) Kolenski, 77, of Goffstown, died September 6, 2017 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on January 13, 1940 to Edward and Wanda (Kanges) Murphy. She earned an associates degree from Notre Dame College in Manchester and was a lifelong resident of Manchester and Goffstown.
Maureen worked as a special education teacher at Moore Center Services and several other Manchester area locations. She enjoyed her dogs, reading, doing crossword puzzles, birds, and watching Jeopardy. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two siblings, Janice Paquette and Donald Murphy.
The family includes her husband of 58 years, Joseph Kolenski of Goffstown; five children, Mark Kolenski of North Andover, MA, Kevin Kolenski and his wife, Donna, of Goffstown, Gary Kolenski and his wife, Donna, and JoLynn Kolenski all of Manchester and Tara Bless and her husband, Graham, of Londonderry; eight grandchildren, Avery, Jeff, Dylan, Rhiannon, Erica, Emilia, Tyler and Brooke; several great grandchildren; three siblings, Joseph Murphy of North Berwick, ME and Judith Machos and Edward Murphy and his wife, Alyce, all of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
