Maurice E. Boisvert

November 5, 1921 — April 14, 2002

Maurice E. Boisvert, 80, of Easton, died April 14, 2002, at Genesis Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Hooksett on November 5, 1921, and was the son of Hector and Emma (Brouillard) Boisvert. He lived most of his life in Hooksett before moving to Easton in 1983.

During World War II he served as a Sergeant for the 172nd Battalion in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Mr. Boisvert worked for N.E. Brace Co. from 1945 to 1967, and again from 1977 to 1983.

He had served as Police Chief and Fire Chief for the town of Hooksett.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4961.

Mr. Boisvert was married 59 years to Edna (Lemay) Boisvert, who died February 23rd of this year.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, reading and living in the country.

Family members include 4 children, Linda Hunt of Farmington, Normand Boisvert of Easton, Robert R. Boisvert, and Elaine Walter, both of Hampton; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Germaine Yergeau of Manchester, Juliette Lessard and Lorraine Desmarais, both of Hooksett; a brother, Leon C. Boisvert of Pittsburg; nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday April 18, 2002 in St. George Church, corner of Pine and Orange streets, Manchester. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
