He was born March 18, 1919, in Manchester and was the son of Joseph and Aurelie (Beaudet) Chaput.
He had been a member of Sacred Heart Parish.
From 1943 to 1963, Maurice served in the Army Air Corps, later the United States Air Force, and had been stationed around the world. For many years he worked as a carpenter and held membership in local 633. Maurice worked as a production worker for Anheuser Busch, in Merrimack.
He will be remembered for his love of the Red Sox, vegetable gardening,his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved participating in all their activities.
Family members include his wife of 64 years Julia(Bubelnyk) Chaput, of Manchester; 2 sons, Maurice Chaput Jr., of Manchester, Michael Chaput, of Goffstown; his grandchildren, Timothy, David, Christopher, Asheley, Nathaniel; his great granddaughters, Makenna, Acaterina, Sierra; a sister, Monique Chamberlain, of Manchester; 2 brothers, Sylvio Chaput, of Manchester,Raymond Chaput, of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday September 17, 2007 in Sacred Heart Church, 223 South Main St., Manchester.
Encryptment took place in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
