Maurice “Mac” H. Corriveau, 90, of Manchester died Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his home after a period of declining health.
Mac was born to Joseph & Eva (Bilodeau) in 1933. After graduating from Ste. Marie High School in 1952, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp. While enlisted, Sergeant Corriveau was awarded the Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medals. Mac finished his military career with the Staging Regiment at Camp Pendleton, CA. He was immensely proud to be a Marine and often reminisced about his time in the military and the friendships he made. Upon his return from California, Mac went on to study Accounting at NH College (SNHU).
After graduation, Mac began working at the City of Manchester Highway Department, embarking on a 36-year career in Administration. He also served on the Board of Directors for Manchester Municipal Employees Credit Union.
In September 1961 Mac married Priscilla LeDuc. They recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
Family was everything to Mac. He loved his immediate and extended family beyond measure. At every family meal, he recited the same prayer, which has become a mainstay in all of our lives. He was always willing to help those in need and continued snow plowing and repairing small engines for friends and family well into his 80’s. Over the last year, Mac looked forward to his Saturday car rides with son Ron and son-in-law Kevin. He especially loved the beach and was always happy to be by the ocean.
Mac is survived by his loving wife Priscilla Corriveau; children Celeste (Don) Mendzela, Rachel (Kevin) McCullough, Ron (Christine) Corriveau & Camille (David) Hazel. Grandchildren Kathryn McCullough, Nathan Corriveau & Jack Corriveau; sister Doris Corriveau & sister-in-law Claire Corriveau. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Lauren McCullough in 2021; brothers Raymond, Albert, Jeremie, George, Leo, Roger, & Rene; sisters Lucille Chouinard & Leona Roy.
